What is Counselling?

Counselling offers a safe place for you to be able to talk about things that may be worrying you or to talk about feelings that are affecting you in an unhelpful way. Anything that you talk about stays private unless there is a danger of harm to yourself or others. Your counsellor will explain this at your first meeting.

When you first see the counsellor you will be asked some questions to work out if counselling is the best way to support you. If it is then you can work on the problem that has brought you along. If you need a different kind of support, the counsellor will suggest where else you might go.
